One of the most iconic scenes in the entire Star Wars saga has to be the moment in Return of the Jedi where Princess Leia chokes the life out of Jabba the Hutt. After turning her into his personal slave, dressing her in an uncomfortable metal bikini, and shackling her in chains, Leia had quite enough.

Star Wars is the movie that Carrie Fisher is most known for even if it certainly wasn’t not her only work. I know I am not the only fan who was sad to see her pass not long ago.

Back as far as I can remember my friends and I would argue about which was better, Star Wars or Star Trek. I’m in camp Star Wars, though Jar Jar Binks was almost enough to change that.

One of the iconic things that almost all of us remember from the original Star Wars trilogy is the giant hair buns that Princess Leia had over each ear. If you have ever seen SpaceBalls, that giant bun haircut was mocked brilliantly in that film in the form of headphones.

I always get a kick out of mashups of films that I loved as a kid. I really like this new work from artist James Hance. He has taken Princess Leia complete with her giant hair buns and put her in a picture with Indiana Jones.

Jeffrey Brown’s Darth Vader and Son and Vader’s Little Princess might be the cutest Star Wars retcon ever. The books feature a caring Anakin looking after Luke and Leia. Gentle Giant Ltd. is going to release a limited edition bundle of the two books, which will include adorable figurines of the Skywalkers.

Man I hated the prequels, but they had one thing going for them. Padmé Amidala was easy on the eyes – even if we didn’t get to see her in a scantily clad slave outfit like Princess Leia.

Carrie Fisher recently conducted an interview with a publication called Palm Beach Illustrated. During that interview, she was asked if she would be returning to Star Wars: Episode 7 as Luke Skywalker’s sister. All Fisher had to say about the question was, “Yes.”

It’s funny how plush toys can soften the look of characters that you know so well. Leia was already cute with her hair done up in buns, so of course she would look pretty adorable as a soft plush.

This amazing-looking hologram-like display is made out of a two-dimensional image that’s projected onto a curtain of water vapor. The whole thing looks incredible, and quite realistic. I guess that Leia should have been pleading for DIY-Kenobi instead of Obi-Wan.

I’m actually quite surprised we haven’t seen anyone do this before, but here they are: headphone covers that will bestow upon the wearer Princess Leia’s trademark cinnamon buns. So yeah, they’re wigs for your headphones.
