Maxconsole got a couple of videos from console-modders XCM showing the latter’s prototype light gun for the PS3. It’s basically half of a PS3 controller stuck to a light gun. I think XCM is shooting for a controller that’s compatible with all shooters, hence the need to come up with something with a sizable amount of buttons.

After Europe got the PlayTV for their PS3s, Japan is getting the Torne, a TV tuner and DVR combo for the PS3 that unfortunately won’t be available in the US any time soon. The Torne connects to your PS3 via a USB cable.

Here’s a couple of cool gun controllers I found while cruising the aisles at CES the other day. Both the Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 are getting new guncons from CTA Digital, but the Xbox 360 got left out in the cold for some reason.

You can say what you want, but the golden glitter of this PS3 will draw anyone’s eye. This will undoubtedly be the world’s most expensive PS3 since it’s partially made out of gold. This golden PS3 is the brainchild of Stuart Hughes, who released this wonder after his Nintendo Wii Supreme, which was worth almost half a million dollars.

Ahoy, ye landlubbers! Little Big Planet just got a little better. You see, Sony and Media Molecule just released their new Pirates of the Carribean add-ons for LBP. It’ll be a pirate’s life for you when you install these new add-on packs.

Assassin’s Creed II has been out for a while, but Ubisoft has announced two new DLCs that will enable you to finally finish the game. Does this mean that Ubisoft sold an incomplete game to gamers everywhere?

Square-Enix have finally unleashed the latest edition of the Final Fantasy franchise in Japan. This is the first game of the main series that has been released for the PS3. Final Fantasy XIII hit the shelves today in Japan where hundreds of people queued up in order to buy the  game.

The folks at Gamersyde were handed some footage of the opening minutes of the PS3 game 3D Dot Game Heroes, From Software’s upcoming homage to classic RPG/Adventure games. The graphics are really neat – it’s like everything is made of cardboard LEGO dot things.

Okay, okay, I know Brütal Legend is apparently short and all, but it only came out a week ago! One week–and already, someone’s made a damn cake for it. Listen, guys. The bakers are making the rest of us look incredibly lazy.

Sure, the PlayStation 3 is eventually getting its own official motion controller from Sony, but while you wait for this bit of futureware, the guys over at UK gaming outfit BLAZE have announced their own motion-sensing PS3 controller.

Hydrophobia doesn’t really sound like something you’d want, really–water is important, after all, and fearing it is bad–but when it’s in the form of an multiplatform game? Well, that may be more palatable, particularly when it looks like this.
