The PSP Go really sucks by most accounts. We have established that and even though the thing saw a price decrease last month, it still isn’t a big seller for Sony. Sony has announced that the go will be discontinued in Japan and Europe already and we assumed that means the US Go would be cut too.

Remember the epic suck that is and was the PSP Go? It’s the portable Sony console that uses no cartridges and wanted you to download all of the games like the iPhone. The real suck of the thing was the price and the fact that you couldn’t even import the games you already had for your old PSP.

A source has told video game news site CVG that Logitech is currently working on “a UMD drive add-on” for the PSP Go. Commence laughing. A representative of Logitech’s UK office told CVG that they’re not aware of any such product, so “… it may be something the US office is working on.”

Nope, this portable gaming system is most definitely not a PSP Go. What you’re looking at here is a cheap Chinese handheld known as the PXP-2000. While the PXP-2000 won’t play any of your PSP games, it will play classic games from the NES, Famicom, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Super Famicom/SNES, and SEGA Megadrive/Genesis consoles.

Skeptical about the PSP Go? Apparently, someone is worried you might be, since Sony has released a memo stating that the system will have 16,000 various downloadable items available at launch. That’s a pretty impressive number, at least on paper.
