It’s not easy to do video game-centric movies right. Sometimes they turn out good, other times they just create a well intentioned flop. Wreck-It Ralph is one video game flick that many people loved. The good news is that a sequel is coming in 2018.

The guys working on Rock Band 3 revealed to USA Today that the new game will add new advanced gameplay modes for “pro” players – but the big news is…. drumroll, please… a keyboard! Yep, and this keyboard won’t just have five color-coded buttons on it.

This has to be the best news I’ve heard all week: a new Elder Scrolls game has been sort-of confirmed, finally. Time to wrap up those last few quests in Oblivion, folks. It only took, what, a year or three to finish that one?

ZOE fans rejoice! In an entry at Kojima Productions’ blog (translated from Japanese) last Saturday (Oct. 17), Kojima revealed that 2003’s Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner (released in JAPAN as ANUBIS:Zone of the Enders) will not be the last installment in the beloved series.

Left 4 Dead 2 is bringing all sorts of new zombie mayhem to the table. No more is the apocalyptic experience just about running from point A to point B (where the transportation is!); the sequel is bringing mission-style multiplayer in a new game type called Scavenge.

The gorgeous WiiWare game LostWinds debuted last year to instant cult status. As one of the first games released for Nintendo’s original games service, LostWinds quickly emerged from the shadow of Square Enix’s My Life as a King to rock reviewers and Wii owners all over the world.

Dementium: The Ward broke some untrodden ground on the Nintendo DS, as an M-rated horror-themed shooter, so it isn’t particularly surprising that the game is getting a sequel. What is surprising (and amazing) is this cover shot.

BioShock 2, the sequel to Take-Two’s alternative history shooter has been delayed to the first half of 2010. The horror! The sequel was originally slated to debut late this year, just in time for the holiday buying season, but the title has been pushed back.

If you build or play mods for the PC version of Left 4 Dead (Xbox gamers am cry), odds are the announcement of the quick sequel, whether or not it was welcome news, had you grumbling just a little.

Capcom today confirmed that Dead Rising 2 is coming to not only the Xbox 360, but to the PS3 and PC too. Not too much else is known yet, but any game that involves bashing zombies over the head with a roulette wheel is fine by me.
