My daughter and I were looking for something to watch the other day and we landed on the original Sharknado. I don’t remember that blonde dude’s name off the top of my head, but I remember him as the dude who drove a Corvette ZR1 in 90210 back in the day.

The original Predator is one of my favorite action movies of the ’80s. I don’t feel the same about Predator 2 with Danny Glover – he just didn’t live up to Arnie. Apparently there was a video game based on Predator 2, which somehow I missed back in the day.

My favorite ’80s movie franchise is easily Back to the Future. While the third film set in the old west was a bit crappy, the first two films are some of my all-time favorite movies. I wanted one of those hoverboards so badly growing up I could taste it.

I was a big fan of the Star Trek movies that featured the cast of the original series. Those were some of the only movies my dad would ever go to back in the ’80s, and we saw them all.

Every time I watch The Walking Dead, I end up thinking about what would be the best weapons to fight a zombie horde. I think Daryl has the best weapon with the crossbow. It’s quiet, can shoot a reasonably long distance, and the bolts are reusable.

I’m not sure who decided that beach balls needed to be so lightweight that you can’t bean your brother with enough force to leave a mark. They also fly away with the slightest of breezes making a windy beach less than an ideal place for a game of catch.

If you are a fan of Pacific Rim, you will certainly recall the fight scene between Gypsy Danger and the Knifehead that ripped off its arm and killed one of the pilots. A couple new action figures have landed at ThinkGeek and the Gypsy Danger figure is missing an arm.

Summer will be here before you know it and you will be ready to head to the pool, lake, beach, or river to cool off. That means you will need a pool float so you don’t have to put any more effort than needed to float around staring at girls in bikinis.

Harrison Ford has been in plenty of movies over the years, and many of them were very good. For any child of the ’80s, only two of those franchises really matter – Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Growing up, my parents used to buy me these books that had my name in them. I thought they were the most awesome books ever written and I used them to dominate many Show-and-Tell days in elementary school.

Do you know someone who’s always bragging about his Rubik’s Cube solving skills? Get the Pillow 13x13x13 IQ Cube and lob it at that person’s head. Then dare him to solve it. Not only is it an irregular Rubik’s Cube knockoff, it’s also freakin’ huge.

I’m not so sure about getting your kids a giant stuffed dinosaur. It makes them think that dinosaurs are nice and friendly, when in reality they want to bite you and stomp you with their massive feet.

I am sure we have all received gifts before, looked at them, and wondered what purpose they were supposed to serve. Some gifts are simply useless, and it’s the thought that counts… so they say. Perhaps the most useless gift I have ever seen is right here – Captain Jules’ Useless Box.

If you have ever played the Uncharted game franchise, you will know who Nathan Drake is. Drake always reminded me a bit of a modern Indiana Jones. I think it’s all the brown and leather that reminds of Indy.

Back in July, I talked about an awesome film-scale Serenity model that was on display from QMx. A lot of people got all hot and bothered at the thought of owning that model. If you were one of those who got excited, you can own your own now.

I really liked Bioshock Infinite; I thought it was a cool game even if the original was better in my opinion. Booker DeWitt is the hero of the game and about the only time players get a look at his face is on the cover of the game.
