On display at the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Mercedes-Benz highlighted the “G-Turn” capabilities of its new all-electric G-Wagon model by having four vehicles perform synchronized G-Turns in the street. The electric G-Wagon can turn around 360 degrees on its center axis, making getting out of tight parking spots a breeze. Finally! And starting at only $150,000 I’ll never have.

The feature is billed as “a stunning blend of precision engineering and technological prowess,” not just for show but “a practical solution in tight urban space.” The G-Turn system, made possible thanks to each wheel having an electric motor, is controlled by advanced sensors and AI and is sure to be the must-show-off feature for all owners of the electric G-Wagon.

In the video, you can see that the vehicles are performing their 4-car ballet on a street that’s been conveniently wetted. It probably won’t work as smoothly on a dry road and will likely burn a little rubber. Still, better a little rubber than a little bumper when it comes to squeezing out of a tight parking space.
