Tokyoflash just released the Kisai Rogue SR2 watch, an updated version of the Rogue that they had available before. Unlike most of the Tokyoflash range of digital watches, the Kisai Rogue SR2 features an always-on LCD display. This means that you won’t have to push a button to read the time, which is a bonus in my book.
You get the LED backlight in either red, green, blue or orange. The display is reminiscent of the Kisai RPM.
Relative to some of their other watches, the Kisai Rogue SR2 is pretty easy to read, which is cool. The gap in the inner ring tells the current hour, while the gap in the larger ring tells the approximate minutes, and the skinny rule around the outside tells exact minutes. While a lot of watches that Tokyoflash sells look pretty cool, not all of them are easily readable. Reading the time on a watch should be intuitive and shouldn’t require consulting a manual.
The Kisai Rogue SR2 is available over at Tokyoflash’s online store for $179 (USD).
