While the Imperial AT-AT Walker was designed as a war machine on legs, it really ended up being quite a flop due to its fatal design flaws. That said, AT-ATs do make pretty cute pets, if you housebreak them.
Why is it that spaceships in science fiction have a tendency to be grey or other blah colors? It makes little sense to me, given the fact that we love colorful cars. Heck, I drive an orange car myself.
One of my favorite characters in the entire Star Wars saga has to be Admiral Ackbar. Not only does he have an awesome alliterated name, he sounds like Doc Brown from Back to the Future, and looks like a giant bipedal fish.
When you have small kids it’s harder to get around, which is why strollers were invented. And when you have small kids and you are a geek… you need an appropriately geeky stroller. Fantasy Strollers is a stroller rental company based in Orlando, Florida.
Growing up, my favorite Star Wars characters were Luke Skywalker and R2-D2. In addition to being incredibly versatile, R2 seemed to have more to say with all his beeps and boops than the other characters that had actual words to say.
Meet Chicken-Walker 2.0 everyone. This past Halloween, the weird looking Cassie humanoid-legged robot donned a Star Wars AT-ST costume made by members of its build team at Oregon State University’s Dynamic Robotics Lab. So basically these engineers are Imperials, now creating the Empire’s latest toys.
You know, for as big and badass as AT-ATs are, they’re kind of cute too. Perhaps that’s why we cheer when the snowspeeder takes one of these down with tow cables, we can’t help feeling a little sad when it falls.
This Star Destroyer bicycle might just be the coolest Star Wars costume ever, especially if you have a kid that has Imperial leanings. Andrew Guy built this amazing costume for Halloween for his son Aidan. Hey, Andrew, I want one too!
Give your bar a geeky upgrade with these cool Stormtrooper Gin Bottles from UK outfit Firebox. The set comes with two bottles filled with gin from Bimber Distillery, which happens to be the official distiller of the Empire.
We’ve seen all kinds of cosplay around here. we’ve also seen our share of AT-ATs, but we’ve never seen a horse cosplaying an Imperial walker. But when Imperials hit hard times, you gotta do what you gotta do.
There’s nothing in the universe more festive than a glowing Death Star on Christmas Eve… unless you live on Alderaan, of course. This Hallmark Keepsake Star Wars Death Star Lighted Christmas Tree Topper is both festive and fearsome.
Do you want your house to smell like Wookiee? What about Rancor? Worse yet, the inside of a Tauntaun. Well, thanks to these Star Wars candles, you can choose from 15 pungent fragrances based on the original trilogy and make your home smell… weird.
Back in the day when all the kids were talking about was the original trilogy, entire aisles of stores were filled with Star Wars action figures in black packages adorned with Kenner logos. This Rey action figure from The Last Jedi looks a lot like those original toys.
Anime and Star Wars fans will definitely want to check this out. Russian animator Dmitry Grozov aka “Ahriman” created this impressive anime trailer for A New Hope. I’m not a big fan of anime myself, but no matter what style you draw Star Wars in, Star Wars rocks.
