Own Your Own Desktop Wind Tunnel For Model Cars

With over 17 years of writing experience, Jonathan has had a passion for all things tech-related, ever since watching Inspector Gadget as a child. He's disassembled countless appliances and managed to put a few back together, and one still works. When not writing, he can often be found playing video games or accidentally hurting himself in the garage.

Developed by Fun Tech Labs, the Windsible is a desktop wind tunnel designed for model cars. The tunnel blows air and smoke at the vehicle inside to visualize its aerodynamics. Pinewood derbies just got a whole lot more competitive!

It will be available in three different sizes for model car scales: 1:64 (Matchbox and Hot Wheels), 1:24 (medium die-cast models), and 1:18 (larger die-cast models). Will I buy one and start testing the aerodynamics of everything on my desk? There’s no question.

Each Windsible features a viewing portal to the wind tunnel inside and a customizable round display on the front, which can display scale wind speed and other data. The interior features LED lighting designed to create “lifelike speed effects” and make your car appear to be moving. That’s cool. Typically, I have to push my toy cars around by hand and make engine-revving noises while everybody else in the meeting wonders how I got this job in the first place. Even I don’t know.
