Every now and again, I like to mention the odd inventions that have been designed to be controlled (or powered) by your USB ports. Well this week, I bring you a new favorite: the USB hamster wheel. (also available from Crazyaboutgadgets)

This latest entry into the wacky, weird USB device catalog features a cute, furry hamster on a plastic motorized wheel. The faster you type, the faster the wheel spins.

Now you too can recreate this classic web gem on your very own desktop:

CAUTION: Not recommended for use with actual hamsters.
