the ultimate lego build: the lego crawler town
There’s just something about awesome LEGO builds that I just love, especially when they don’t involve kits. This amazing build is by Dave DeGobbi. He calls it Crawler Town.

It kind of reminds me of Howl’s Moving Castle, one of the more recent Studio Ghibli movies. Or better yet, Fallout 3. This thing is basically a town on wheels that will move around to find new resources.

“Crawler town roams the barren wastes of a post steampunk world after cataclysmic climate change do to excessive coal use. Several such cities exist but Crawler town is the most popular due to the Aero 500 hydrogen fuel cell Air races that are held. Many people travel the wastes to Crawler town for vacation and to enjoy rare luxuries like Pizza, fresh vegetables and Beer. Traveling the wastes in search of minerals and aquifers (vital for survival) the mobility of the city keeps it away from the vicious sand storms of the wastes.”

This sure is a dystopic vision of the future, as these large crawlers travel around a barren world, moving from place to place, acquiring resources wherever they go. I find it just plain awesome.

Why would the post-apocalyptic people waste their hydrogen fuel on races? Then again, we also waste our fossil fuels on all kinds of races. I guess some things will never change.
Hydrogen Fuel is very promising, i only hope that we can mass produce soon enough.-,,
hydrogen fueled vehicles are the best but they are still not widely available.:.,
