DIY Batarang: Ask Your Butler to Make You One

by Lambert Varias

Are there some thugs in your neighborhood that could use a good ol’ smack to the head? Do you hear their victims’ incessant cries for help? Are you hiding in the darkness of your bedroom, clenching your fist and looking out the window, staring at the night and all its sins and vices, wishing there was something you could do to fight crime?! Then call the police. Seriously. Because this batarang will not help you one bit; it doesn’t even work like a boomerang. But it does look cool.

It’s also not made of metal. Instructable user spookylean used plexiglass and superb painting skills to make it look like the batarang used in the video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. Here’s the finished product in action:

There’s a fair amount of sanding, drilling and cutting involved, so really this is more of a job for you Alfred or Lucius Fox types out there. Check out spookylean’s Instructable if you think you’re up to it. And before the thing with the Iron Man arc reactor comes up again, let me just clear this up once and for all folks – I don’t make these mods, I just share them with you. I repeat: I don’t make these mods, I just share them. Use the links! Do it!
