shredder disposes of days gone by

Designer Susanna Hertrich created this unique calendar that gradually rids itself of the previous day by shredding them into oblivion.

Chrono_Shredder

The Chrono_Shredder combines a calendar, clock and shredder into a single device that gradually scrolls through the days, eating them away with the shredder. According to the artist:

The Chrono_Shredder’s function is not to show the current moment, like a calendar. Instead, it shows the nearest future (the next day) — and all the time that has past from the time the device has been switched on. Whilst you spend your time in hibernation — the Chrono_Shredder messes up your space with wasted time!

Now that’s deep. Regardless, I think it’s a pretty cool idea. All she needs to do is use hamster power to operate it, and I’ll buy one.

Ooh! Let’s go clean out the local PetCo of all their furry critters and waste some time!
