You might have thought about of using your iPhone as a scanner, but didn’t have a good way to get clean and consistent images. Now you can finally put your phone’s camera to good use, without much thought, work, or action on your part. Rather, all you need is $15 and you can get your hands on one of the most affordable and easy-to-use scanning systems in the world: Scanbox.

Scanbox comes delivered flat to save money on postage, not to mention space. When you’re ready to use it, just assemble the Scanbox and start scanning away.¬†Aside from scanning your images and documents on the go, you can also use it to digitize your receipts, scan 3D objects, and use it as a live input for projecting presentations.

Scanbox comes in six bold colors and is available in a basic and “Plus” version for $25, which adds LED lighting to improve image quality. You can head on over to the project’s Kickstarter page for the details and to make a pledge to get your very own Scanbox in the mail.
