You better act quick if you want this great piece of Nintendo nostalgia for your house. It’s a Super Mario Brothers ceiling fan, circa 1988, that I found over on eBay.
I know Nintendo merchandised the hell out of this franchise, but a Super Mario ceiling fan? I think I’ve seen everything now…

I really dig the great job that Nintendo enthusiast Michael Karpinski did with his new subwoofer.
He’s carefully painted it to match the classic “question mark” brick from the Super Mario game series. Looks like that little stuffed Yoshi won’t be long for the world when Michael cranks up his next big bass extravaganza…

These wacky things out of Japan feature the likeness of Toad, the familiar mushroom character from the Super Mario games.
The fun part is that these mushrooms wiggle back and forth when powered by the sun (or a desk lamp.) They’re just about 5-inches tall and make a great desktop gadget for the Mario fan in your life…

This clip features the real life story of the famous plumber’s addiction to those little magic mushrooms…
The video, by P0YKPAC is a sad, sad tale, but the (mildly NSFW) clip is really quite funny. Mario’s struggles with the “stuff” lead him down a path of self destruction and it all ends with tragic consequences…

Some enterprising baker has whipped up this bit of kitchen goodness: a Super Mario inspired pixel cookie…
Do you suppose it tastes more like mushrooms or coins?

Everyone’s favorite little plumber, Mario has arrived in the real world with a brand new gadget. This time he’s on wheels, and ready to roll.
The $50 Giant R/C Mario Kart Racer is a 12″ long radio-controlled vehicle inspired by the Nintendo game of the same name…

I’ve been dying for an excuse to feature one of my favorite artists, Dan Goodsell on my blog, but his whimsical paintings never seemed quite appropriate for Technabob.
Today, Dan gave me just enough of an excuse by when he jumped into the video gaming world…

This clip from a live performance of music from Nintendo games reveals a little known fact. The highly recognizable theme song for Super Mario Brothers actually has lyrics.
The song is actually titled “Go Go Mario” and the lyrics are in Japanese. Luckily a dedicated fan took the time to write up a translation of the words into English…
