Chevrolet Offering an Air Conditioner for Your Smartphone

We love our high priced ultra-thin smartphones, but we don’t stop to think about how hot they can get in the summer, especially when charging. What to do? Chevy is on it. The automaker is introducing a smartphone air conditioner in their new cars.

This Active Phone Cooling system adds an air conditioning vent that directs cool air directly onto your smartphone while it’s charging. Thank god that problem was solved. I was losing way too much sleep. The feature will be available in the 2016 Malibu, Volt, Cruze, Impala, and other vehicles that offer a wireless charging bay.

This cooling spot for your phone only works when the AC is on of course. But that shouldn’t be a problem as we are all climate control wussies today. You are going to turn on your air if you are even slightly uncomfortable. Therefore your phone should be just fine.
