Adafruit continues its wonderful marketing campaign with another fun and functional gadget that you can build using the company’s products. This time it’s a wristwatch that uses LEDs to display the time or point North or to a preset destination.

Developer Mike Leslie is working on what he calls Project Rita, a device that “keeps track of all of the information that the user is personally interested in” and ultimately “present the user with the right information at the right time.”

The guys over at Porsche Design have unveiled an interesting new watch. The case of the watch is made from titanium that is colored black. It’s a very simple looking and minimalist watch with a black face and white markings, and a red second hand.

Ever try to install a satellite dish? Speaking from personal experience, I can say that finding the right line-of-sight from the dish to the skies can be a real pain in the a$$. Now there’s a new app coming for the iPhone 3GS that could make satellite dish positioning just a bit easier.

The folks at The Boy Genius Report have a couple of screens from an iPhone debugging menu, and their Apple insider is telling them that the evidence points to a built-in magnetometer for the next hardware revision of the wildly successful device.
