Look at these slippers, they are creepy, cool, and weirdly ’80s. They are modeled after the ‘Ello worm from Labyrinth, Jim Henson’s classic 1980s fantasy. It seems like everytime I turn around there is some Labyrinth oddity out there.
Jim Henson released the weird and cool movie Labyrinth back in 1986, and while it wasn’t a huge hit back in the day, it’s gone on to become a classic. Beyond the cool puppetry, one of the most notable things about the flick was David Bowie played the bad guy Goblin King.
One of the things I remember most about Labyrinth (other than Jennifer Connelly breaking the hotness scale) is the crazy hair David Bowie had as Jareth. Fans of the movie will want to check out this cool Jareth action figure coming from McFarlane Toys, complete with that over the top ’80s hairdo.
Labyrinth was one of those movies that I thought was creepy when I was young, but I watched it anyway. Puppets are weird. Now you can relive those creepy, weird moments from Jim Henson’s 1986 tour de force in board game form.
I watched Labyrinth growing up and the movie seriously creeped me out. Still, it had Miss Hottie 1986 Jennifer Connelly in it so I watched. David Bowie was one weird bastard in this movie. Still I have fond memories of the ’80s thanks in part to this film.
If you love the 1986 movie Labyrinth and need something to keep your feet warm, these cozy plush slippers should be perfect. They are based on that cute little worm from the movie. You know, the one that says “‘Ello” in the maze.
The Labyrinth Table is a-maze-ing. No, really. It is a wooden coffee table created by artist and furniture maker Benjamin Nordsmark that features an elaborate labyrinth under the glass table top. Think of it as an interactive coffee table.
