Are you feeling lazy? Me too. As I write this, it’s 7:00am, and I should either still be in bed, or chilling on the couch, and not clicking away at my keyboard. Alas, the Internet never sleeps, and therefore I don’t get to either.
Some farmers are already using drones to monitor their crops, but researchers from Georgia Tech think they have a better solution. They have created a robot inspired by the sloth and named it Tarzan, after the way he swings from vine to vine.
Lazy dressers now have one accessory that they must add to their collection: Sloth Rings. Their name says it all, actually. They’re basically rings featuring a sloth that looks like it’s hugging your finger when you put it on.
Sloths have already made their way to Disney Studios, so it was only a matter of time before they crossed over to Hollywood.
The Poke decided it was time to release remakes of hit movies and cult classics with a slothy twist by asking its readers to replace most of the leads with – you guessed it -sloths!
‘Sloth’ is defined as a person having a ‘reluctance to work or make an effort.’ It could also be referring to the ‘slow-moving tropical American mammal that hangs upside down from tree branches.’
Seemingly combining these two definitions is artist Phillip Light with his unique series which crosses the great Disney Princesses over with the ever-lovable sloth.
