If you’re into video games at all, chances are you know somebody who had an Xbox 360 crap out on them. Here’s your chance to show you care by sending them this clever condolence card.
Greeting card artist bsangel created this Xbox 360 Red Rings of Death card which lets your grieving gaming pals know your heartfelt wishes in their time of need.
I was wandering the cereal aisle in my local grocery store looking for my morning sugar fix, when I stumbled this Xbox-themed promotion in boxes of cereal.
Six Xbox-branded mini-games are available in specially-marked boxes of Kellogg’s cereal (I always wanted to say that), including Apple Jacks, Cocoa Krispies, Corn Pops, Froot Loops, Honey Smacks and Frosted Flakes.
The 6 mini-games are described as follows:
Reactor – “Your mission: fight through defending alien ships and destroy the enemy power source!
Swiss artist André Willimann handcrafts these gloriously detailed 3-dimensional faceplates for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console. Each one is meticulously assembled from custom molded 3-D pieces, then individually oil painted to give the works depth and color.
The artist is currently selling a limited-edition series called “Treasure Island”, which feature a vivid scene of tropical waves, islands and even a detailed skull if you look close enough.
While I love the pirate theme, I have to say this earlier “Molten Stone” faceplate really knocked my socks off.
Bored with your old black or white Xbox 360 controller? How about pink or blue? I’m not sure if Microsoft is going for the whole “blue is for boys, pink is for girls” thing here, or just trying to give us a little color choice.
Frankly the pink and grey version reminds me a bit too much of Good and Plenty.
In what could be a serious blow to Microsoft’s exclusivity on the popular Project Gotham Racing franchise, developer Bizarre Creations is no longer an independent player. The UK development studio was gobbled up by Activision today.
Plans are to keep the Liverpool, England studio completely intact, along with its 160 staff members.
Console Mod Man Ben Heck is at it again. Now he’s taken the mammoth controller from an original Xbox, gutted it, and stuffed it with the contents of an Xbox 360 wireless controller.
Other than a little Xbox Guide button he added between the “Back” and “Start” buttons and the built-in headset jack, you’d never know this wasn’t just a plain old Xbox controller.
Now as a player with fairly large hands, I never really had a problem with the old Xbox behemoth, known in circles as “The Duke.”
Given the fact that for my entire life, I’ve been completely incapable of drawing anything but some straight lines and the occasional stair step on an Etch-A-Sketch, this image simply blew my head off.
I was already duly impressed with the detail that artist the Etch-A-Sketchist has been able to squeak out of the little red and white drawing toy.
The latest in Bizarre Creations’ critically-acclaimed racing series is officially “in the can”. Project Gotham Racing 4 has gone gold, and is off to production for us to get our grubby little hands on in the very near future.
In addition to announcing this major milestone, Bizarre also released the (massive) final list of vehicles in the game, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Has your Xbox 360 ever overheated? Do you dread the three Red Rings of Death? Have I got a t-shirt for you.
Inspired by the demented HAL9000 computer from the classic science fiction flick, 2001: A Space Odyssey, it shows the inimitable RRoD symbol along with the saying “I’m afraid I can’t let you play that, Dave.”
Electronic Arts has started to circulate a list of 30 tracks that are currently on the playlist for their upcoming multiplayer music game Rock Band. The list includes a number of classic rock tracks, but also offers up some great alternative and more edgy tunes.
The gang over at Gamersyde shot this video showing off the beginning of Project Gotham Racing 4 for the Xbox 360.
After looking at the gorgeous in-game screenshots that Microsoft released the other day, I was starting to get excited about this upcoming racer.
I first told you about the Xbox 360 Instant Messenger keypad way back in April. For months, the device has been nowhere to be found, and my fingers have gone numb attempting to reply to IM conversations while I’m trying to play Bioshock.
Well the good news is that Microsoft has confirmed that the device will be hitting stores next week, on or about September 4th.
Bungie today confirmed that Halo 3 has gone gold. In other words, the game is done, complete, finito and in the can. After three years of design, development and testing, the latest installment in Microsoft’s FPS juggernaut is ready for the world.
The game will absolutely, positively make its planned release date of September 25th, just a little less than a month from now.
While Microsoft bundles a headset for Xbox 360 online gameplay, it would be an understatement to say that the sound and build quality is a bit sketchy. So what’s a heavy-duty online gamefreak to do? Turtle Beach may have the answer with their Ear Force X3 headset for the Xbox 360.
You won’t be fooling around with these puppies around your ears.
You’ve got to hand it to these junkmeisters for their creativity. Check out these slightly familiar video game consoles from a schlock shop down in Mexico.
I’m not sure whether I like the X-Game 360 or the PowerStation 2 better, but these cheap packaging copies are clearly designed to fool some unsuspecting buyer into thinking they’re getting a great deal on a real console.
While those of us who played the supremely awesome Bioshock demo are salivating to get our hands on the full game, a few lucky stiffs have been able to pick up copies of the game a full week ahead of its 8/21 release date.
