aqua teen hunger force bomb for sale on ebay

One of the top news stories of the last 24 hours was a bomb scare set off in Boston because of a guerilla marketing campaign for the Adult Swim show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Mysterious LED devices featuring the ATHF characters “Ignignokt” and “Err” (flipping the bird) we placed around the city, sending the city into a panic.

Now you can own one of these original devices if you’re willing to part with some serious cash. Someone has posted one of the actual “bombs” for sale on eBay. We’re only a few hours into the auction, and the bids are already over $3,000. The seller claims that the money will be used to fund more public art in the Boston area, so at least it’s going to a good cause. This is certain to be a collectors item (if the police don’t come and confiscate it as evidence.)
[UPDATE 2/1 3:00pm: It appears that the auction has since been pulled from eBay. Someone always has to pee on my parade

[UPDATE 2/2 10:12pm: A few more ATHF LED signs from around the country have turned up on eBay here, here, here, here, here, and here. So if you're interested in picking up a piece of history, now's your chance.]

I just caught this story on the news over here.
I’m pretty sure these guys knew they’d cause panic, but maybe a gaol sentence might just wipe the smug looks off the faces of the protagonists as they were led into to court…
I can’t believe these guys were arrested. They called them “bomb-like” devices. Right. How about “Lite-Brite Like Devices”?
I want one.
Hey, the one that kid is holding is different from the one in the other picture. Fake, maybe? Or were there different ones? Hmm.
There are two different signs one of the character named Ignignot and one of Err.
And for the record the Boston authorities overeacted and if anyone should be held responsible for that mess it should be them jumping the gun and the damn media!
I remember seeing that on the news
what a load of dumbasses, how could a set of LEDs resemble a bomb.
