Inside this unassuming red cube lurks a fancy shmancy label making system.

Click the black button and the top opens up to reveal a keyboard and LCD screen. The keyboard appears to be a standard US qwerty version, but unfortunately (for those of us who can’t read Kanji characters, that is) the screen text looks to be in Japanese. Based on my astute powers of deduction I’ll tell you that it comes in a white version as well as red.

Hopefully they will make a version for us Western Hemispherers- because this thing would look a lot better on my desk than my funky old teal green P-Touch. It’s got to be great- I mean, just look how excited this guy is about it!

Check out the King Jim Tepra Pro product site for the full specs, and visit Impress Watch for more photos and what appears to be a lengthy discussion of the label maker’s pros and cons. I mean, both pages are in Japanese, but it’s fun to pretend you can understand while enjoying some pretty pictures and animations.
