giant remote control laughs in the face of miniaturization

Sick of losing your remote between the couch cushions? With this bigger-than-a-breadbox remote control, there’s no chance you’ll misplace this one.

The Chunghop RM-A4 remote control measures in at a whopping 8.26″ wide x 11.69″ tall x 1.35″ thick. Or in other words, it’s roughly the size of a ream of paper. With its giant buttons that measure over 1.15″ wide, you won’t have any problem reading the numbers or fat-fingering the wrong channel. Of course, you do run the risk of crushing your cat with it.

It’s a 6-in-1 universal remote, and comes with pre-programmed codes for thousands of devices. The remote features high-power dual IR emitters and can work from up to about 26 feet away from your electronic gear. You can get your hands (you’re going to need both of them to pick up this beast) on the RM-A4 over at DealExtreme for $28.90 USD.

Well they could have done something to make those buttons a bit more intuitive – even if giant they all look the same to me
