La Tosta Laptop Cooling Stand: Proof That Cheap Yet Useful Things Still Exist

by Lambert Varias

Laptop owning cheapskates rejoice! Like all other laptop owners, I know that you’re concerned about the heat that your laptop generates, as well as the stress on your back from countless hours of being hunched down while using your laptop. If you’ve been holding off on purchasing those usb powered, ergonomic cooling pads, hold off no more. La Tosta is here to save the day.

The La Tosta is elegant in its simplicity: they’re just a pair of curved steel bars that prop up your laptop, allowing the good blue arrow cool air to move in underneath your laptop and forcing the bad red arrow hot airs to leave.

As you can see the La Tosta (ancient Spanish phrase meaning “Cheap Portable Laptop Stand”) comes with caps that grip the surface of your desk and your laptop. This also ensures that neither your glass dinner table or your brand new Macbook Pro will get scratched.

By propping up your computer you’re not forced to slouch anymore, so La Tosta helps your posture as well. The guy in the picture doesn’t seem impressed however. Probably because he’s worried that some of his ports are being blocked by La Tosta, which is not really a problem because you can easily adjust the bars depending on your needs. But let’s not mind the party pooper: you’ve yet to hear the best thing about this product, which is that it’s a steal at $10 USD. The price is originally $13, but Starlight Creations are slashing off $3 off La Tosta’s price until March 1. So take a deep breath, relax, take out your wallet, pull out a Hamilton and head on to Starlight Creations’ shop.

I agree with Adrian. There’s never been a need for a laptop cooler. http://tr.im/gk8j

Mine just arrived, and they’re nice as heck. I’ve got an Asus U6E which has keys that come within 1/2″ of the edge, but they don’t actually press down on the keys and rest comfortably on the edge of the tilde and home keys.

The contrast between lugging that big laptop cooling stand and popping these in my pocket is extremely correct.

Bought a product called the Laptop Flip that works great. It raises the rear of the laptop for ventilation but also stores your laptop vertical when not in use. Great space saver. You can also store it vertical for connecting to your desktop computer.

You can buy the required accessories for your laptop from on line stores Many websites sell laptop parts at reasonable prices. Online shopping has several other benefits as well. First of all, you will get a wide range of products to choose from. Also you will be able to make a choice in terms of their features and price.

I have seen several such sites. Visit http://www.ca-batteries.com/ that also sells replacement laptop batteries and ac adapters.
