Here’s a nerdy a sub-genre in an already geeky genre: some Lego Mindstorms enthusiasts all over the world love creating Great Ball Contraptions, or GBCs – a large, modular machine that does nothing but transport balls in a never-ending route. A typical Great Ball Contraption has many modules, each one created by a different person. Make: magazine found this beast of a GBC:

I actually fell asleep when I watched that for the first time. But still, props to the folks who make them. Now if only they’d make something useful, like a breakfast machine.
