Rgb Light: Because a Cmyk Light Would be Too Gloomy

July 9th, 2010 by: Lambert Varias

Designed by Fabian Nehne and Martin Meier, the RGB Light is, as Szymon Blaszczyk said, a great gift for Photoshop geeks. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s for sale.

The point, of course, is teaching the physics of the additive color model. You know, red + green + blue = white, right? I’m not sure – but I’m hoping that I’m correct – but judging from the picture on the right, it seems that most of the light only comes out through the middle, meaning there’s barely any of the dizzying red, green and blue light on the fringe.

Ooops. Apparently it does create a murky rainbow of sorts.
