View Quest Retro1 DAB Radio: Retro Enough for You?

The name of this dock and radio combo from View Quest might be a bit strange, but hey, it does look plenty retro to me. This radio will also dock an iPhone or iPod and can receive DAB broadcasts in Europe and other countries that support that digital standard. For those of us without DAB, it still supports FM.

The overall design is pretty funky – especially the leather surround and handle on the case. Using battery-power, the little boombox can play your tunes for up to 15 hours. There is a small LCD screen to serve as an interface. The speakers are only 2×2W, so it won’t generate any noise complaints. With its dock, i guess that it could double as a clock radio via your iPhone or iPod too. The View Quest Retro1 is currently available for £99.99 (appx. $161 USD) from Play.com.
