What happens when you stick everyone’s favorite mushroom-stomping plumber smackdab in the middle of a first-person shooter? This. YouTube effects phenom Freddie Wong put together this fun POV version of Mario, which definitely feels like an FPS, but is missing one essential element – guns.
Even without guns, it’s still pretty fun. Watch for yourself…
Freddie definitely captures the spirit of the original Super Mario Bros., and I love the acheivments he added to the game to make it feel more modern. And that little flag joke at the end is pretty classic. But if you want weapons, you’ll have to go for this version instead…
Hmmm, would you rather have headcrabs or goombas?
