Panasonic Japan’s recent entry into the e-book market is looking pretty nice. Unlike E-Ink based displays, the WordsGear can display full color images.
The WordsGear offers an amazingly sharp 5.6-inch TFT display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution (that’s about 211 pixels per inch.) This means reading small type should be no problem, and easy on the eyes…

I do my best to avoid showing you guys products that are just “concept” designs, so when I saw the image for this watch, I almost skipped right over it. Usually when I see industrial design work that’s as futuristic as this, I just assume it’s a conceptual mockup and move on to the next thing…

This has gotta be the best hack I’ve seen in a while…
Scott Walker’s DigitalBox Newspaper Machine automatically displays the day’s latest news on an LCD screen that’s installed in the front of an old newspaper vending machine.
He put together the system using a Mac Mini and a 17-inch LG monitor locked away inside the guts of the machine…

The latest media player from iRiver has got to be one of the most beautifully designed gadgets I’ve seen in a while.
The iRiver NV features a clean minimal design with a large 7-inch LCD screen. Its primary input device is a dramatic scroll wheel, which happens to feature a functional color display in the middle of it for displaying context-sensitive icons and information…
