I think watches are the most popular accessory there is. First of all, they’re functional. They tell you the time primarily, while some models even display the date, the temperature, what day of the week it is, and so on and so forth. Second, they’re often stylish and come in quirky, novel, classic, geeky, or girly designs.
The watches I’ve seen thus far have all had one thing in common: they all came with a face. Which makes the Faceless Watch well, the first-ever faceless watch I’ve ever seen. I’m guessing (quite boldly) that this is also probably your first time seeing a faceless watch too. And while what makes this watch so unique also makes its functions more limited in nature, it’s still something that die-hard watch collectors and lovers of quirky timepieces will still probably love.
So how does the Faceless Watch tell you what time it is? With the push of a button, four disguised LEDs that have been built into the band light up and show you what hour and minute of the day it currently is. One more press of the same button and the current month and day is displayed on the face on the strap.
The stainless steel links of the watch are electroplated to give off a glossy black finish. For those interested, the Faceless Watch is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $129.95.
