Tigerdome Backpacks Put a Tiger on your Back

Backpacks are often as much a fashion statement as they are a functional device for students to carry stuff in. ThinkGeek has some of the coolest and oddest backpacks I have seen in a long time called Tigerdome Backpacks. Yes, these backpacks look like life-size tiger heads.

You can get a traditional orange stripe tiger or a white tiger with blue eyes. The heads are given their shape with a Styrofoam shell. Unlike a normal backpack, these don’t have a top opening, instead, you slide stuff in on the back. I’m not sure how secure that is, but then again, who wants to stick their hand into a tiger’s mouth?

They both have a port for passing headphones through so you can put your iPod inside. The main downside I see to these is that the zippered opening doesn’t appear to be large enough for a full size notebook computer, limiting their use.

You can buy either the orange or white tiger for $59.99 right now over at ThinkGeek.
