If you grew up in the ’80s, you might remember this classic Fisher-Price toy – a cassette player designed for just for kids. It was build from chunky, nearly indestructible plastic, and had big buttons on top for its basic functions.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times, to put Spinal Tap first, then Puppet Show last. Now’s your chance to be the real headline act when you put on a show with this collection of goofy looking alien finger puppets.
I can’t decide which one is my favorite.
Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s wild comic book series Dark Nights: Metal is a merchandise machine. But even with its squad of evil Justice League Batmen, DC Collectibles is starting with the Dark Knight as his normal ass-kicking self.
This 12″ polystone statue is based on one of the many variant covers that DC Comics released for the series’ first issue, and was drawn by Capullo himself.
Max Factory and Good Smile Company begrudgingly present Yugi Muto’s rival and Yu-Gi-Oh‘s ironic dweeb hater, Seto Kaiba.
The 6.5″-tall action figure comes with a Duel Disk, a deck of cards and a briefcase that has slots for the cards.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures get a ton of alternate and crossover versions, but Playmates’ Halloween offering has to be an instant classic. It’s a mashup of New York weirdest: TMNT and Ghostbusters.
The mashup casts Raphael as Winston, Leonardo as Ray, Mike as Pete and of course Donatello as Egon.
Sideshow Collectibles recently unveiled a statue based on the gun-toting member of the Bat family, Kate Kane aka Batwoman. The stunning Premium Figure is depicted standing regally over the ruins of her Gotham apartment.
Another Star Wars film, another Hot Toys action figure. The Hong Kong-based toy maker recently unveiled a sixth-scale action figure of Rey based on her appearance in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
As you can see in the photos, the 11″-tall figure is officially called Rey (Jedi Training), implying that Hot Toys will release multiple versions of the character from the same movie.
Kojima Productions’ new mascot now has a high end action figure. Made by Sentinel, the Ludens sixth scale action figure has a whopping 46 points of articulation, thanks to a custom made inner frame.
The figure’s movable parts even include its eyes.
Fidget spinners have been done to death, so I was pretty sure I was never going to write about them again. But this gadget is just too silly not to mention. What you’re looking at is what is purportedly the world’s first cell phone that doubles as a fidget spinner.
The Chilli K188 is a very basic phone, but what makes it unique is its propeller blade shape and a spinny ball bearing mechanism in its middle.
Quickly, Guardian. There’s a sale at the Tower – they’re selling the vendors themselves. McFarlane Toys continues its line of Destiny toys with 7″ action figures of the Vanguards: Ikora Rey, Zavala and Cayde-6. The figures are based on the characters’ in-game assets from Destiny 2, where all three play a more pivotal role.
The figures have at least 12 points of articulation, and each comes with a chase redeemable McFarlane Toys Hellspawn emblem and a unique weapon.
Street Fighter fans, the king of muay Thai is coming for your money. Pop Culture Shock Collectibles recently unveiled its third-scale statue of Sagat, and it looks awesome. The extremely detailed statue is 36.5″ tall and comes in three variants.
The standard or EX version has no extra parts.
Impressive. Most impressive. Takara Tomy’s one-of-a-kind take on Darth Vader is called the Star Wars Powered by Transformers 01 TIE Advanced x1. It doesn’t even have “Darth Vader” in its name, but that’s the surprise!
Aside from coming with a tiny Darth Vader figure, the Sith Lord’s ship actually transforms into a robot version of himself, complete with a giant lightsaber.
The long-awaited, hand drawn side-scroller Cuphead was recently released to rave reviews. The game sure looks amazing with its 1920’s cartoon style, but it’s also incredibly difficult. It’s a rewarding experience nonetheless, and any fan of the game will want these vinyl figures based on some of the game’s characters.
Funko’s first batch of figures features the iconic art style of the game, and includes 3″ figures of Cuphead himself and Mugman, while The Devil stands 6″ tall.
That Devil is so awesome looking – I need him in my collection NOW.
High end toymaker Hot Toys has finally unveiled its action figure based on Thor’s space Roman warrior outfit in Thor: Ragnarok. The Gladiator Thor action figure features the god of thunder’s new hair, his Gladiator helmet and several weapons.
James Rhodes’ first War Machine suit was a more heavily armed and armored version of Tony Starks’ Iron Man Mk. 11. His samurai variant is no different. The latest from Bandai’s Manga Realization action figures, Samurai War Machine is a walking gunship.
The 7″ tall action figure has guns on its wrists and more on its backpack, including a cannon.
Rick and Morty‘s third season recently wrapped up with a dizzying finale. Funko has been working on something to tide the show’s fans over. The Pop! maker announced its life-size Rick and Morty Portal Gun back in June.
