One of the first games I got hooked to on the PC was Solitaire. Our computer then ran on Windows ’95, with a wonderful CRT monitor that cost more than laptops do these days. I would try to finish the game as quickly as possible, and gaze proudly at the screen when the cards would go berserk and flying all over the screen when I won the game.

While most of us think of Doctor Who’s TARDIS as a big, blue police box on the outside, I have to say I rather like this reinterpretation of the time and space travel device using mirrors.

DeviantART member/artist/video game surgeon Beth T. aka bluewolf487 gave the heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom a gender swap, and they turned out really great. Good thing she didn’t stick to canon and removed the mustaches.

I am not artsy at all. I can’t draw, I can’t paint, and I am not the sort to make crafts. About as artsy as I get is building something out of LEGO on occasion or making the occasional scale model with my kids.

Check out these freaky keyboard creations by Maurice Mbikayi. He uses the keyboards to represent various parts of the human form, but I personally like the look of the keyboard skulls the best.

Yes, that is a giant brain in the back of the car you see here. The car is called Braincar (surprising right) and was designed by an artist names Olaf Mooij. The artist drives the car around during the day and the little black thing on top of the brain is a camera that records his travels.

When’s the last time you used a CD? I did burn a dual layer DVD recently, but CDs? Can’t remember. However, I do still have a lot of music on CDs. That being said, check out what French artists Clémence Eliard and Elise Morin created with the help of 65,000 CDs.

A lot of people think that the bigger something is, the better. While I don’t necessarily agree, one thing “big” is definitely good for is grabbing people’s attention. I mean, would you have taken a second look at this Jack Sparrow Statue or Honeycomb Statue if it were only a feet tall?

I’ve never been a huge fan of museums. They’re places chock full of priceless works of art and pieces, I know, but I’m a huge fan of interaction, and that’s not something you can really do in most cases, otherwise security will come stomping their way to you.

A digital camera is essentially something you use to take photos or record videos. You can also review the images you’ve already taken simply with the flick of a switch or with the push of a button.

I have seen a lot of art in my time and much of it isn’t that impressive to me. I have seen people use just about everything to make their art. I have never seen anyone use leaves from various trees to make their artworks.

I am a fan of artwork that takes the movies and things from my youth that l liked and twists it a bit to make it into something else. Over on Etsy there is a dude going by the name Harshness that has a bunch of pop art based on some of my favorite childhood flicks.

I’ve never been particularly adept at cutting precise forms with an X-Acto knife, and then if I do anything with glue, it ends up everywhere it’s not supposed to. So when I see work like this, I can really appreciate the amount of artistic talent and technique it takes to construct something as incredible as these papercraft retro gadgets.
