There are countless Bluetooth speakers to choose from these days, so if audio companies want people to take notice, you have to do something pretty different. The Muzen Wild Mini speaker is just that. Measuring about 3″ high x 2.25″ wide x 1.375″ deep, this ultra-compact speaker is small enough to carry in the palm of your hand, but this tiny speaker punches way above its class in build and sound quality.

Anytime I take a digital camera with me outside or near the water, I’m nervous about it all day. One splash and it’s gone. Olympus has a new digital camera that you don’t need to worry about called the TG-870.

I’m usually good about keeping my gear out of harm’s way, but in the last month, I smashed two smartphone screens. I guess it caught up with me, which is probably one of the reasons why a ruggedized tablet makes sense, if you’re always taking yours out and about.

There’s no shortage of wearable action cameras on the market today. The most popular action camera comes from GoPro and is designed to be worn or mounted on just about anything you can think of. A company called iON has unveiled its own ruggedized action camera called the Air Pro 3 Wi-Fi.

These days, Bluetooth speakers are a dime nickel a dozen, but that doesn’t stop these wireless devices from being quite useful since most people use their phones to play their favorite tunes these days. This small Bluetooth speaker is rugged and not that expensive.

I have a couple of Android phones around here, but I wouldn’t think of getting any of them wet or dropping them on the floor without an add-on case. And even then, I’d be a little nervous about it.

On second thought, I guess it still might be possible to let this chunky remote control slip between the couch cushions, but it certainly wouldn’t be very comfortable if you sat on it. What you’re looking at here is a hacked together remote control that started its life as a cheap universal remote control.

I used to think that Bluetooth speakers were pretty superfluous, until someone gave me one. From then on, I’ve used one almost every day. The Urchin is a rugged new Bluetooth speaker and features interchangeable silicone skins, giving it a distinctive look.

It’s always good to add some redundancy to your computer system. When a hard drive fails, it’s always problematic trying to restore lost data. It’s even worse when you are faced with a natural disaster, such as a fire, a flood – or the apocalypse.

There are plenty of Bluetooth speakers around, but not many are capable of being used outside, at least without suffering damage from the elements. The Turtle Shell is pretty durable, and it will play your music almost anywhere.

I’m very particular about what kind of case I get for my iPhone. I have but a few, and it can take me a long time to find ones that appeal to me. But I have to say that the durable SYSTM iPhone cases look pretty spiffy.
