4K displays are becoming more and more ubiquitous these days, with prices dropping dramatically in the last couple of years, it’s now possible to get your hands on a UHD display for as little as $400 these days, depending on the size and other features, of course.

Not too long ago, VIZIO revealed its updated P-Series displays, which offer some of the best image quality you can get on a big screen these days. Now, some of the tech that was previously limited to top-of-the-line models has trickled down to VIZIO’s entry-level and mid-range displays.

VIZIO today rolled out the 2016 upgrade to its already awesome P-Series 4K displays, adding features heretofore reserved for their most expensive Reference Displays. For starters, the new VIZIO SmartCast P-Series Ultra HD HDR Home Theater Display (that’s a mouthful) now includes support for High Dynamic Range and Dolby Vision encoded content.

I’ve become a bit jaded by the fact that most of the 4k TVs and computer monitors that I have seen cost thousands of dollars. I am in the market for a new TV, but you won’t catch me spending over $1800 or so and I want a big screen for my money too.

While there are already a handful of displays on the market with 4K pixel resolution, they’re extremely expensive, and there’s very little content available for them. Now, RED Digital Cinema has announced a new video player capable of outputting 4K video without breaking the bank too badly.

There’s something to be said about big-screen TVs: they can always get bigger. LG has announced the world’s first 84-inch Ultra Definition 3DTV. The mammoth UD 3DTV also comes with a couple of smart features and over 8 million pixels per frame.
